Kwaku says:

The growth of human population continues to be a threat to the limited resources.

 

Kwaku Afrifa Dwumah is an alumni of the Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana, where he served as the President of the both the Renewable Natural Resource Students’ Association (RENARSA) and the College of Agriculture and Natural Resource Students’ Association (CANARSA) in the 2016/2017 academic year. He holds a BSc. (Hons) Natural Resource Management. He comes from Mpasatia, Atwima Nwabiagya, in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He currently stays at Adoato-Adumanu (near the 4th Infantry Battalion and Prempeh College), Kumasi. He is a “Disciple” and in his mid-twenties. As a Christian, he is a member of the Methodist Church, Ghana.

He has a great zeal to be a Researcher in the field of Biodiversity Conservation, Ecology and the Environment and as such aspires to be an Ecologist, Environmentalist and Conservationist. Afrifa is extremely passionate about the Sustainable use of resources, Application of technologies in Natural Resource Management, Waste Management (Disposal and Recycling) and Rural Community Development and many other related subjects. He has raised himself to acquire experience in Field research. He has volunteered in various surveys and projects on Amphibians, Plants species assessment, Fire assessment, Carbon Stock assessment and Rural Development. He is also interested in plant propagation for ex-situ conservation, land rehabilitation, reclamation and ecosystem restoration.

He is an enthusiastic soul of sight-seeing and hiking. Loves soccer for which Asante Kotoko and Chelsea FC are his local and foreign clubs respectively. To him, music and movies are like food for the stomach. He enjoys learning French. He is a great team player and puts his all in to ensure the achievement of targets set. He has served as a student leader and has the heart of serving people he encounters in his activities. He is a great inspirer and motivator and free as the wind. He believes that wherever one finds him or herself, standing out and making a positive difference should be a priority. He also believes that when the environment is healthy, human lives would be as healthier as ever.

He is the Deputy Director of Capacity For Sustainable Change – Ghana.
