“Conservation is a course that has no end. There is no point at which we will say our work is finished” by Racheal Carson and this is what Patience Duku Sakyiwaa believes in.
Patience is a young female conservationist who has a passion to ensure that natural resources are not depleted. Through this, she has volunteered to work with organisations like A Rocha KNUST where she served as the Secretary for the 2018/2019 academic year and CSC – Ghana where she currently serves as the Secretary for the Women’s wing (WSE).
Patience read BSc. Natural Resource Management majoring in Wildlife and Range Management and also served as the Judicial Chairperson for the Renewable Natural Resources Students’ Association (RENARSA – KNUST) in the 2018/2019 academic year. She had the opportunity to work with the Department of Wildlife and Range Management as an Intern where her skills for research work was enhanced and she currently works with the Department as a Teaching and Research Assistant.
It is Patience’s dream that the efficient use of resources will be understood by the current and future generation and hopes her work goes a long way to protect natural resources.
